Recycling in Singapore

In 2019, plans to reduce Singapore’s waste output to Semakau landfill by 30% by 2030 was announced as part of the country’s first Zero Waste Master Plan. Included in this plan is a targeted 70% overall recycling rate, up from the rather stagnant rate of about 60% over the past 10 years.

Here’s a closer look at Singapore’s recycling rate over the years:

Singapore experienced its first drop in recycling rate in 5 years – from 61% to 59% in 2019. In fact, the local recycling rate has been hovering around the range of 60% for the past 10 years.

Here at TEE Environmental, we are committed to doing all that we can to support Singapore’s movement towards a greener and more sustainable environment for everyone.

Recyclables collected will be brought to our own Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), where they are sorted and processed for recycling purposes. Boasting our own MRF, we are confident in our capability to provide sustainable recycling solutions to our partners.

We have distinctive receptacles that can help with the proper and neat storing of recyclables. This can help encourage better recycling initiatives for organisations, promoting green movements all across Singapore.
